Mari E. Foreman Groff was educated at Harvard College where she graduated with honors in 1999.  Mari worked at the Center for Law and Religious Freedom in Washington, D.C. before attending Boston College Law School, where she received a Public Service Scholarship and was on Law Review. Mari graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2003, and was chosen by her peers to receive the St. Thomas More Award.

Mari worked in the litigation department of the New York City law firm Debevoise & Plimpton prior to clerking for Federal Judge John E. Sprizzo, Southern District of New York, in Manhattan.  Mari has been a member in good standing of the bar of New York since 2004.

Mari took a hiatus from law to stay home with her and her husband’s five children while they were young.  She was recently admitted to the Washington state bar and is excited to return to practicing law. She loves small town practice, where she gets to educate and advocate for individuals and small businesses facing litigation.

Mari volunteers at the local Volunteer Attorney Services, and, in her free time, enjoys community theater, music, reading, writing, and, now that her children are older, traveling!
